Hi! I’m Korri. Choosing a photographer is kiiiindof a big deal.

Whomever you choose will be capturing more than a simple photograph but laughter, love, emotion, and moments you’ll want to look at again and again. Images you’ll pass on to your children.

Life absolutely goes by too quickly, and for me photography is a way to slow it down a bit and cherish how much beauty there is all around us. In the posts below are examples of some of the stories that I tell, and the memories and love that I see through my lens.

I’m so glad you’ve stopped by – smile!

Benjamin really just wanted to sleep and eat, as most (all!) babies do.  Even with his pouty lip and exasperated expressions it’s easy to tell that this little one is going to be quite the handsome man.

Nap time now, Mama?

Yes, nap time now, sweet one.

Mister Philip is such a goofy and fun little dude.  He just turned one and he spent our evening in the park practicing his newly-acquired walking skills.  As you’ll see from one of the photos to follow, he still has a little more work to do :)  So great to meet you Philip!

Here he comes….

….and there he goes!  boom :)

As I know from my own baby boy, year 1 to 2 is SO much fun.  You guys are going to have a blast – enjoy every minute!

Baby Colton just couldn’t wait to meet Mom and Dad.  He was over four weeks early, leaving his parents to do some late night emergency baby shopping and nursery-prepping. Although caught a bit off guard, Mom and Dad are doing great and completely smitten.  As most premies are wont to do, Mister C slept through almost the entire shoot, letting us prop him up in positions galore.  What a good little boy this one is!

Welcome to the world baby boy!

For the Moms | Personal

May 10th, 2012

Being a mother is at once humbling, empowering, overwhelming, and inspiring – it truly is the hardest and most rewarding job in the world.

Being a mother is at once humbling, empowering, overwhelming, and inspiring – it truly is the hardest and most rewarding job in the world.  Moms do so much, and moms need support.  In honor of Mother’s Day I want to recognize three strong, loving, and amazing mothers that I’m so lucky to have in my life.  These wonderful women are all in different stages of their journeys.  Jessica is about to be a mother for the second time, Ashley is experiencing the wonder of her first child, and Elizabeth is only a few weeks away from meeting her son.

Jessica married one of my best high school friends and we quickly became close ourselves.  We have lots of common, not limited to our attempts at veganism, our growing photography businesses, and our sweet little boys who are only two months apart.  We always have so much to talk about and I love having someone to turn to for an opinion or advice. Baby number two is due for her in July and I can’t wait to see her love multiply.

Ashley is one of my oldest friends, we’ve known each other for close to 30 years (eek!).  One of the many things we share is that we’re honest with each other about the fact that motherhood is wonderful but it can also be HARD!  You don’t sleep, babies cry and don’t stop, and some days its a struggle to even get out of the house.  Like with most things in her life, Ashley handled becoming a mother with humor and grace and she is fiercely devoted to her new family.  I’m so glad that I’ve been able to watch and photograph Ashley become a Mom.

Lastly, my dear Sweet Elizabeth.  There aren’t enough words to fully describe what she means to me.  She is loved by so many, and for good reason.  She is warm, talented, caring, giving, and an absolute blast to be around.  Together with her husband they made an unstoppable team and there is no question in my  mind that their son is going to be one of the coolest little dudes around. She’s wanted to be a mother for so long and I just couldn’t be happier for her.  If she looks familiar you may recognize her from the recent feature of her bakery on the Cooking Channel’s Unique Eats.  I told you she was special!

And finally, cuz I’m a mama too, I have to include a few new photos of my baby bear who as you can see is certainly no longer a baby.  We’ve been having so much fun lately and he’s simply everything to me.

I am so so lucky to be able to call these women my friends, and more importantly all their babies and babies-to-be are the luckiest in the world to have them.

I love you girls, Happy  Mother’s Day.

Baby Addison | Boston Family Photography

May 7th, 2012

I have to say that this little one has the absolute cutest grumpy face I’ve ever seen

These photos were in honor of Baby A’s first birthday, and I have to say that this little one has the absolute cutest grumpy face I’ve ever seen.  She needed a little time to warm up but once she started doing some walking with daddy and flying with mommy things turned around nicely :)

Happy Birthday baby girl!

Henry | Boston Newborn Photography

May 2nd, 2012

It’s a big world out there little one, you have so much to see.

You could say that Baby Henry has been a long time in the making – his Mom and Dad have been together since high school (my high school!)  Henry made his entry on the scene earlier than expected, but during our morning together he was healthy, strong, and alternated between sleepy and squishy and alert and adorable.  In other words, perfect.

It’s a big world out there little one, you have so much to see.

Bridget & Chris | Engaged in Boston

April 26th, 2012

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, getting to reconnect with old friends is absolutely one of the best parts of this job.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, getting to reconnect with old friends is absolutely one of the best parts of this job.  Bridget grew up right around the corner from me and it was such a treat to see her again.  Bridget and Chris have been dating since we all went to high school together – 11 years!  Their wedding is certainly going to be filled with an amazing amount of love that has been a decade in the making!  Chris proposed in Boston’s Public Garden so we spent a beautiful evening amongst the iconic spring blooms.

A lot has been going on for us lately!  We moved, took a trip to New York City, bought a new camera, had lots of dear friends visit, and have generally been enjoying life.  Teddy is at such a wonderful age – he’s goofy, loving, and lively while learning scores of new words every day.  It’s fun having my very own parrot around!  Here are a few shots from the personal file, including frames from my NYC trip via instagram…

The absolute best part of the last few weeks has been the time spent with friends.  Some of my dearest friends live out of state so it was such a treat to see them all.  Stay tuned for a very special “friends and babies” blog post to come soon, until then, a few teaser shots of some very wonderful people and their growing families.

I am a lucky lucky girl.

Sam and Tom traveled all the way from Australia to get married in Central Park and were lucky enough to have their families and closest friends make the (long!) trip with them.  Since they live literally on the other side of the world, this was one of the rare occasions when I hadn’t met the Bride and Groom until their wedding day – the minute I walked in the door of the hotel room I felt like I had known Sam and her friends for years.  Everyone was so pleasant, warm, and simply psyched to be supporting Sam and Tom.  This was a wonderful day in one of my favorite cities in the world – a perfect way to officially kick off my 2012 wedding season.

It makes me feel pretty darn great when the bride says “oh don’t leave, we’re having so much fun with you!”  Thank you Sam and Tom for having me – I had a blast with you and your friends and wish you all the best in your life together as husband and wife.
